Actually, that’s the main reason I came back.

LIKE THEY’RE MY TWO FAVORITE MALE CHARACTERS AT DC PERIOD AND NOW THEY’RE FRIENDS AND DOING SHIRTLESS RESUCE/EMBRACES WHATTT!!!!

Man, I just can’t even describe how much I love this show right now.

I was pretty sure the point of the pirated DVDs was that Jaime had something to send him to jail on that was concrete since he had no proof he was beating his girlfriend, but obviously knew it was going on. Not actually “pirating is EVIL”.

I suppose, but it wasn’t incredibly clear. If Jaime had said “I can put him away for the pirated DVDs and no one will have to deal with him anymore” it would have come off less so. I think that was probably what they were going for too, but you’d think a guy like that would be into something a little more…dangerous? I guess the shows options were limited, since they couldn’t do drugs or other stuff. It was just sort of funny when Jaime was like “ALL OF THIS STUFF IS PIRATED” like omg how can you tell from one glance I guess the scarab has a thing for that.

I actually took that moment as Jaime going- “Uh. Pirated DVDs? Fighting world-conquering aliens has really skewed me because I was not prepared for this level of mediocre evil from a D-bag, abusive boyfriend.” In seeing that this guy’s “big crime” was hawking rips of games and movies, it underlined that not only was he a small-minded scumbag, but he was a LAME, small-minded scumbag.
